From CAD to the track

I grew up in India, and motorsport was my way into engineering. Karting, rallycross and eventually the JK Tyre series taught me to think about what the car was doing underneath me, not just how fast I was going. That curiosity took me to Bournemouth University for a BSc in Design Engineering. In my first year I founded the university's Formula Student team on my own, then spent the next three years growing it to 30 members and taking it to Silverstone for FSUK 2026, first as Team Principal and then as CTO and Head of Suspensions. Along the way I interned at Ola Electric, running thermal FEA on battery casings, and spent a summer in Munich studying smart vehicles and series production.

In 2026 I moved to the Netherlands for an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at TU/e, where I'm focusing on composites, structural analysis and precision design. Outside lectures I work on the carbon-fibre wings for Team Daedalus, the university's solar-powered drone team. What ties all of it together is that I like to see an idea through: from a sketch to CAD, from CAD to simulation, and from simulation to something I can hold, load and test until I understand it. I'm learning Dutch, and built my own pronunciation trainer in Python to help, because I plan to build my career here in Brainport. The Weekend Innovator is where I document the projects I take on along the way.

Co-founder

Bournemouth University Motorsports Society

I co-founded the society with three other students to give people at Bournemouth who love motorsport somewhere to find each other, whether they wanted to race, watch or build. We started in 2024 and had 58 members by 2025-26. [What the society does: karting nights, track days, race trips, talks.] [Anything it led to, e.g. members who went on to join Formula Student.]
